Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is a method of treatment used to hasten recovery for many ailments that affect your pets. Family Pet Health Care now offers laser therapy, an innovative, painless, drug-free treatment that reduces pain and promotes healing for pets that have chronic wounds, arthritis, post surgery pain, muscle strains, burns, hotspots, snake bites, and more.

Laser therapy uses light energy to create an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain. It can also accelerate tissue repair and cell growth, improve circulation and nerve function, reduce scar tissue formation, and help the immune system fend off infection. Laser therapy causes no adverse effects on healthy cells, it helps the injured area heal, restores function, and relieves pain, allowing your pet to quickly return to normal activities.

Pain management is another excellent application of our therapy laser. Instead of treating conditions such as osteoarthritis with medications, laser therapy is an excellent drug-free alternative that may provide relief without the use of medication.

If you live in Decatur, Tanner, Athens, and Trinity, or beyond, and you think your pet may benefit from laser therapy treatments, please schedule an appointment to have your pet evaluated by one of our knowledgeable veterinarians.

  • “I took my dog, Waylan, here and was referred to Dr. Berschneider who Waylan loved immensely. She worked on his back alignment as well as acupuncture. She soon diagnosed him with a torn ACL and he went on to have surgery. She found the cause of his pain by listening to him when several other doctor offices wrote it off as minor unrelated issues. I have been to 3 different vets and this is the only one that took his discomfort seriously and found the cause of the problem.”
