Surgery

Medical and surgical needs are a part of our lives as well as those of our furry friends. Family Pet Health Care is equipped with a surgical suite that enables us to perform surgical procedures including spaying, neutering, dentistry, hernia repairs, removal of foreign objects and obstructions, amputations, gastropexy, and more. We perform surgery on abscesses, bite wounds, cuts and abrasions, as well as foot injuries. We also offer orthopedic surgeries for ACL and patellar repairs and utilize IM pinning and Cerclage wire for fracture repairs to promote rapid healing and recovery.

Our clinic has the ability to perform blood work prior to surgery to ensure your pet does not have any pre-existing conditions. Our veterinarian also uses the most modern equipment to monitor a patient’s vital signs during all procedures requiring anesthesia. We use the safest anesthetics in order to provide an extra margin of safety for older patients and those at high risk.
